Breve storia della fisarmonica "Verde"

The ancestor of accordion certainly is the "SHENG" ancient chinese wind instrument date back to 4500 years ago, that to make use of the principle of free reed, the accordion base itself on the same, because it takes adventage of the oscillating and sonorous reed (metallic vibrating reed) by air flood provided with bellow.

The principle of free reed was applicated since 1821 by Bushmann inventor of AURA, it is weel known with the name of mouth organ
But the first person that applied the free reed on concertina (ancestor of accordion) was, almost certainly, Wheatstone and Demian that since 1829 respectvely constructor of CONCERTINA and the ACCORDEON; instruments very rough and of more restricted possibility, but already provided of a little small double row of buttons valve-opener, divided among a bellow.

In the following years two primitives instruments were object of innumerable modification and innovations: in 1837 Mathiew Isoard suppress third and fourth that accompany every voice; in 1840 appeared first rudimentales concertinas in Russia; in 1850 Bonacina constructed the MANTESIN.

In 1863 an austriac traveller with a misterious "sonorous packet", he is back to Loreto and he stopped in the cottage of a farmer of Castelfidardo, Paolo Soprani, that, already passionate of music, he was crazy of this instrument; hi disassemble it, he study its mechanism, dimensions, voices, and he get the founder of italian accordion.
